Here are my thoughts on the recent Epstein debate:

Personally, I think it’s genuinely plausible that the evidence was destroyed or in other ways hidden a long time ago.

I don’t necessarily think there’s a smoking gun that Bondi is just refusing to declassify.

Nor do I think it’s simply because “Trump is in them,” given his well-documented falling out with Epstein and the fact that Biden didn’t use it against him.

That said, the problem here is that leadership at DOJ and FBI strung people along. They hyped up empty talk that they could never back up.

The lesson here is that grandstanding never works, whether that’s from Democrats or Republicans. Don’t say things you can’t prove.

That’s just my take. Someone will always get mad no matter what you say, but I think this explanation makes the most sense.
