This marks a conclusion that we are officially retired and no longer considered a transit enthusiast, effective 12 May 2024 at 9 p.m. Also, we will no longer be posting videos on this channel and please expect our username to be changed.
Our reasons will be the same as what we mentioned in our post about the ending of our filming operations (youtube.com/post/Ugkx7FcZJ9K2zV-TUqKd3thkboNEuiga_…) as we don't want to say all over again and again.

Anyway, we would like to thank you guys for your support! Our post-childhood (currently adulthood) era is here; the past of being a young adult (as well as childhood) is already gone. We wish you the best of luck in becoming a bus operator (which was our original career until multiple incidents came up on numerous news reports)!
That’s all we have to say; this will be our final goodbye!

To honor our final moments before we officially retire, we have decided to publish our final videos which it will be Foothill Transit Route 707 (Silver Streak). And yes, it will include the portion of California Polytechnic University, Pomona (or Cal Poly Pomona / CPP).
Unfortunately, due to low demand in our channel, we will not be posting the trailer for our final 2 videos, and we won’t be publishing variant versions like front view regarding this route, and it will be on the left side.

The reason why we're currently losing interest of SoCal Transit is because of unsafe conditions which you guys have heard the news is that LA Metro is being criticized over their handling of their system. For example, there's multiple reports that bus operators and passengers were either stabbed or killed in April 2024.

Anyways, thank you for reading this announcement.

We have concluded that we have decided to officially retire two months early, which is May 12, 2024. However, it doesn’t mean we will no longer take public transportation; we will continue to take it as a regular passenger despite dealing with unwanted attention in LA Metro.

Unfortunately, since we don’t receive many views and likes in our videos (it seems like many viewers are losing their interest in public transit content), so we have decided to scrap our plan to upload non-LA Metro content except for our mini-railfanning videos. We also heard that other transit enthusiasts implemented a monthly subscription service in their channels, with exclusive content like “full ride-along videos” for paying subscribers.

We have an announcement!

We have declared that we are officially retiring effective May 5, 2024 (2 months early due to LA Metro’s recent poor handling of crime crisis as well as low demand), due to losing interest in being a transit enthusiast (currently as an uploader as we no longer record any more videos since September 5, 2023, our reasons are available in our discontinuation of filming operations community post), and safety concerns. And also, we do NOT get paid for uploading videos as we only gained for views and subscribers.

We have an announcement.

It seems like not many viewers are watching our videos, which is fine as we will no longer publish LA Metro content anymore, effective January 1, 2024.

Anyways, we are publishing route 857 on Friday, November 24, and December along with former route 130 (as a re-upload but in a 2022 version & will be combined with Torrance Transit Route 13). This will be our final Metro bus route videos before we take a break from YouTube.

However, it’s been confirmed that we will no longer upload videos in Fall 2024, meaning we will be officially retired for good due to low demand, and we won’t get paid for making videos. We would like to thank you for your support once we no longer upload any more videos. As we have said in our other community posts about no longer recording any more videos, some users will continue to record and publish their videos. Bus route requests are not accepted due to recent troll comments and filming operations are already discontinued.

These users clearly don’t either read or understand our community post stated that we’re no longer recording anymore bus routes since September 5, 2023 due to focusing our attention at college and unsafe conditions in LA Metro area.
For example, the screenshot (which is attached in this post).

Like seriously, are they’re going to expect us to re-record bus routes on what we already filmed in 2020 & 2021!? Guess what, we ain’t going back and record bus routes again. The reason why we decided to record some bus routes again is because we want to but NOT every single bus route after NextGen Bus Plan impact (despite of recording route 617)! From now on, whenever we see comments like the one attached to this post, it will count as a troll comment because they’re requesting us to record insane bus routes on what they want. I doubt they're over the age of 13.

If you want to see the routes on what you want, you can go to our channel or just search for bus route (for example: “metro line 40”) or you can check out someone’s YouTube channel (recommended) as they continue to publish bus routes while we’re no longer record anymore bus routes.

And one last thing, trolls usually created their channels and comment on user’s videos a day later to get the users’ attention.

Well, this is it. We have ceased filming operations since September 5 at 12AM PDT. Here’s are the reasons why:

1. LA County Homeless Crisis
It’s getting worse and worse as they took over some streets (especially in Skid Row) everywhere in Los Angeles area. We’ve been dealing with them while we’re riding Metro Rail and sometimes the bus. As you may know that LA Metro has been criticized on their handling of criminal activities in their system, this includes Metro Liner and Rail. If you wonder what does new safety announcement means, it means “IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. REPORT ISSUES ON LA METRO TRANSIT WATCH APP”. That was in response of incidents on what LA Metro has received.

2. Unwanted Mobsters and People (no raw footages has been made, but it happens in real life)
It’s been going worse since Late 2018, especially in 2020 during COVID-20 Pandemic. We’re being threatened to be assaulted several times just because we’re filming the bus.
-In Late 2018 while we are filming Metro Bus going to Downtown LA as requested by some user (which is deleted because we have published the entire route instead of just a portion), we have experienced the first threat by some high school student saying “If I’m in your video, I’m going to beat the f*** out of you!”
-In July 2020, we got involved with a mobster in Reseda saying “Are you f***ing filming?” & “Can I see your $h!t?” and what’s even worse is he tries to take our camera away, but we was managed to get it back and later he flees.
-In November 2020, we’re being filmed by a pervert Karen and we confronted her.
-In January 2, 2021, we have witnessed the attack between the violent man and passengers (thankfully he didn’t go after us, but he excessively insulted them with racial slurs and animal names) in Metro Local 204.
-In July 2021 (which is the recent incident), some mobster threatened to assault us if we don’t move our camera to other side (we filmed in the right side and he wants to switch to the left side as he wants to get off the bus).

3. Transit Bus Operator Incidents
Not only we have experienced threats by mobsters, we also got involved with bus operator as well as employees over filming! We understand it’s their privacy, but when it comes to public, there’s no expectation of privacy! They’re always welcome to cover themselves with either a paper on their faces, mask and sunglasses.
-We used to have 2 incidents of Foothill Transit (the very first two doesn’t count because of our stupidity which we bought an opened drink to the bus as well as distracting bus operator in the Silver Streak route)
Actual 1st Incident: Ambassador of Rose Bowl Shuttle (January 1, 2019)
2nd Incident: 2 Transdev Employees (February 2021)
-For LA Metro, we only have 1 threat from Bus Inspector threatening to call the authorities on us while 5 bus operators don’t mind us filming. As the result, we already postponed the route until later time in September 11, 2020 (please don’t tell us it’s the anniversary of the incident because we thought the number is used to call the police).

4. Unwanted Service of LA Metro Program
As you may know back then in 2018, LA Metro has decided to make a unthinkable plan called “NextGen Bus Plan” and they claim it will solve problems of residents who wants their bus routes to serve nearby their homes. To be honest, it’s false as they don’t want to operate their bus routes and they only want to operate Metro Rail. Their actual goal is to eliminate Metro Rapid and Express routes, which they partially succeeded and they still want to downgrade Metro Route 460 to Metro Local 160 ever since 2010s, claiming it duplicates Metro Rail and 910/950 routes. Not only that, the “NextGen Bus Plan” is like a virus which it spreads to other transit agencies like Torrance Transit to impact bus routes. For example, Route 5 used to operate as far as Crenshaw Station, but since in June 11, 2023, it was truncated to El Camino College while Route 10 is extended to Downtown Inglewood Station. Some people supports the program while some people (like us) don’t. We don’t fully trust LA Metro as they keep doing for years, but we appreciate when they return Metro Rapid 761 as a one seat ride between Van Nuys and West LA, but it will not last forever.
One last thing, we opposed the LA Metro Letter System, that’s why we put “Metro Rail” whenever we put bus stops in our subtitles like Figueroa & 7th & “Metro Rail” instead of “Rail ABDE (originally BRPE)”.

Summary:
It’s been over 6 years since we have been moving away from our home state to California to avoid problems of US Government (even though it won’t happen to us since we’re born in Southern United States, but one of our people will face repatriation if staying in our home state while California issues a protection order) and we later started as a transit enthusiast in Summer 2017. We have started riding Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus (that’s because we came from LAX Airport after leaving our home state and we don’t know anywhere in LA area, so we decided to take a guess by taking Route 3 and later another route to our new home as we have already asked someone for directions in Santa Monica), next we took LA Metro (even though we visited LA every year from 2007 to 2017, it doesn’t count as a transit enthusiast because we’re used to be visitors until we become residents) and later Foothill Transit at Silver Streak ever since 2017 and we’re able to go anywhere except when it’s dark or somewhere far away from Los Angeles area. We later learned ourselves to know how to go from one place to another by using Google Maps (despite being not 100% accurate) and it took us 3 years to figure out. And no, we have never hired anyone to help us navigate. Since the COVID-20 Pandemic began, we were in quarantine until April 22, 2020, in a year later, we’re vaccinated in 3 different doses (it was mandatory back then). Unfortunately, we’re unable to record routes 300-series (except for 344), 442 & 456 (even though it was published by our former team leader).

Conclusion:
We would like to thank you for your support and it’s been 6 years as a transit enthusiast. We will also wish you guys the best luck of becoming a bus operator since we have mentioned about the reality of LA Metro. We will continue to upload LA Metro content for the rest of the year 2023, mostly 600 series in left side. In January 2024, all LA Metro content will be discontinued. And yes, we will be starting to post Mini-Railfanning content (about 1 to 3 minutes) on what we have filmed in the past while waiting for the bus to arrive. Anyways, that’s all we have to say and stay safe in Los Angeles area!

PS: As you may know we have already discontinued our social medias due to low demand since Fall 2021 and if you see our username in any social media, it could be a scammer pretending to be us and we never demand you guys a crazy amount of money!

Note: LACMTA 8648 is currently in Metro Liner livery operating Metro Silver (J) Line since 2022.

Friendship updates:
Oh well, it seems we don’t have anymore friendships due to inactivity of interaction. This marks the end of our friendship since January 2023 and we will not accept anymore new friendships due to our policy which remains banned in person meetups for ALL and it’s for our safety reasons as we almost got attacked by our opponent back then which we won’t tell who’s our opponent because it will be complicated if we say it. Anyways, that’s fine if you don’t want to be friends with us because remember, friendships aren’t meant to last forever and it could end at anytime. Prior to indefinite ban, we used to allow all transit enthusiasts (excluding opponents) to meet us in-person until Fall 2021 (which originally meant to last up to summer of 2022 until when bad things happen which we won’t explain what’s going on). As the result of past incident, we ended up indefinitely banning our in-person meetups & the last and final in-person meetup is July 24, 2021.
