Here’s a quick update on my latest reads! I’m thoroughly enjoying The Hobbit audiobook narrated by Andy Serkis – his voice acting truly brings the story to life and makes this reread feel magical. I’ve also dived into Mad Ship, my book club pick, and it’s captivating me even more than the first book in the trilogy. Robin Hobb’s signature wit really shines in the writing here. As for Two Twisted Crowns, it has a brooding, romantic start that feels melodramatic , but I’m excited to see where the story goes from here. #books #reading #readingupdate #fantasy #currentread

This week I am reading Ship of Magic by Robin Hobb, Blood Over Bright Haven by M.L. Wang, and Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. As September wraps up, I am unsure if I will finish these books before the end of the month. Ship of Magic is my Fable book club’s book, and we may be extending this into October. I recently started Blood Over Bright Haven, which is an arc I am reading before the book is traditionally published in October. Mexican Gothic is also a recent start, but as an audiobook I believe I can finish it this week. It may be too creepy for me so it could also be a dnf. 😂 I also finished Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson yesterday and I enjoyed it so much! I will have a review out soon.
