I decided to start this channel after the New York music critic Alex Ross wrote an article about a madrigal with "rising chromatic steps"'. He posted a video on his website of the music accompanied by a venetian painting. My first reaction was - I want to see those "chromatic steps" and the "really ecstatic, spine-tingling event" in the video itself, not just a static image.
