@PermaPasturesFarm21 Comfrey is Incredible! I did not know such small root cuttings could get this ginormous. A swiss-army knife of an asset at our homestead.

Today's salad greens consist of:
Tatsoi
Pac choi
Spinach
Baby lettuce
Baby beet greens
Swiss chard
Cilantro
Thyme
Dandelion flower
Violet flower
Radish
Mostly free since many of the seeds were saved from last year and/or foraged.

I found a bird in the enclosed trailer this morning attempting to lay an egg on the feed bags.. Now we know who was responsible for the random egg I found in my Easter egg feast video. Her wings are clipped now. Somehow, she avoided being clipped when we did the entire flock the other day. (Well, minus her and Jewel. They are wild and hide away at night.) Not even 5 minutes after I put her back in the run, she was in the trailer again. Naughty!!! Hopefully, she stays in the run this time. Bright side is I got some more practice catching a chicken today. Hope yall have a great day! -Ash

First greens harvested of 2024! We have mostly Tatsoi then in order of most to least: spinach, pac choi, chickweed, dandelion & a chard leaf. Have a great day yall!

I deleted some fantastic Christmas footage while transferring to the computer this afternoon. So...... Here is the stocking my grandma had created for me for Christmas many years ago. My most cherished decoration. Stay warm and be sure to top everyone in your family off with extra love today.
