I have been asked a few times how I create the labels for my jars, so here we go.
I use AVERY L7163 , 14 Labels per A4 Sheet. amzn.to/3XigRAK (Cheaper ones are available but I find that you get what you pay for with labels!)

Download the template from here and open it: www.avery.co.uk/template-l7163
I use this border, and centre it in the first label on the template, so that it is very close to the edge of the label.
Then, copy & paste it to the other 13 cells.
Print a sheet off, check the borders and adjust until you are happy.
Save the document as something like, "Jar Label Borders".
(Search online for "scroll Word borders" etc and chose one you like.)

Open the blank label document and type in the text for your label. (Not the one with the borders)
Start filling the labels from the bottom of the sheet - explain in a minute.
I use Lucinda Handwriting font (it looks nice!)
Centre the text in the cell vertically and horizontally.
Because the template shows the outsides of each label it is easy to adjust the sizes of the font to fit inside the border you created (remember, this is the blank template with no borders!)
For 2 lines of text, I use 24 font for the name and 14 font for the date. For 3 lines, I use 18, 18, 14. (Or whatever suits!)

Place your printed off border sheet in the printer and print your labels!
Save the document as "Jar Labels Text Blank" to save the font settings (cos I always forget!)

Now, the reason we started filling the labels from the bottom is that it is unlikely you will have 14 jars of one item or make more than one at a time, so you want to reuse the label sheet. Because we started at the bottom, the top still has its labels intact and will feed through the printer without jamming! Clever! All you need do next time is to start filling the text in on the labels remaining, lowest first.
This sounds a bit long-winded, but you only need to create the border template and text template once!

Do you ever get that warm glow when you have done something for the good?
Well, I have today because I helped my mate Bev add a few quid to her GoFundMe appeal to add funds to her voluntary trip to Tanzania in aid of deaf children. Chuffed to bits!

In October, my bessie oppo, Bev, is fulfilling her dream and travelling to Neema Crafts in Iringa, Tanzania, to provide a self-funded audiology service.
Along with 5 others, they will be providing audiology services and fitting the 120 students at The School for the Deaf with donated and reconditioned hearing aids, as well as continuing to provide the help started at Neema Crafts 20 years ago.
The crux: they need to raise funds to purchase the materials required to provide this life changing service for this community, and a GoFundMe page has been set up to help them achieve this.
They are about £1000 away from their goal and if you have a few pennies to spare I know Bev and the team will be so grateful

Hi guys.
You may have noticed that I am cracking out onion cooking videos like mad at present LOL
Well, the fact of the matter is - most of the onions that I am using are Alisa Craig. A great tasting onion but they do not store for too long, compared to other varieties. Three months at most, I'd say.
Couple that with the fact that I grew some monsters this year and you'll see that I need to use them up. (all very well having big onions if you are a family of four - I'm not!)
Gotta say though, some of these recipes are fantastic. I hope you will try (try not, do or do not, there is no try!) some and if you do then please let me know how you got on!
