Episode 9 // Unfailing Love
This week on the podcast we’ll come around God’s beautiful invitation to REST. This rest isn’t just the gift of sleep or the pause of a Sabbath day—it’s the deep, soul-stirring rest that only comes when we surrender to God’s unfailing love, who is Jesus.
As long as it is called “Today,” God beckons us to lay down the weight of our own efforts, and to find our peace and our pace in His way, His heart. And even when wrestle or get it wrong, His mercies are endless, His invitation still currently just as present as the air we breathe! I’ll talk to you soon!

King Who Never Sleeps; Anthems for Rest is available NOW, everywhere you listen to music!
These “lullabies” are for ALL ages, and were intentionally created for rest, and even sleeping. They are declarations to sing over your own soul, and over the people that God has given you to care for in this life. (You’ll know who to send them to!)
Why the Coat of Arms on the cover? It reflects our inheritance, our citizenship, and all the reasons that we have to rest in our King and His Kingdom.
May these songs bring peace and praise to your hearts and homes, to the praise of His glorious grace!
p.s. Thank you to those of you who have supported us and cheered us on for so many years now! You can imagine in our current online landscape, how incredibly challenging it is to simply let people know about the music! We would be incredibly grateful if you’d share (yet again!) these songs with your people, near and far!

Today we’re coming around my release of Fly the Nest Song (Carry You) which is a song that has truly helped me mark this moment of our kids “flying the nest.” There’s a lot to hold in this bittersweet season of letting go! We can hold truth or lies, peace or anxiety, freedom or fear.
Even if you’re not launching kids into this world, we can all still learn to grow in the letting go of things we want and people we love. And if we have eyes to see it, God is always leading us and inviting us to release with freedom and trust that His way is better than we know!

We are so thrilled to announce the release of Fly the Nest Song (Carry You) out today! We started writing this song when we were making the first lullaby album but it never really took shape. Now I know why! God knew I needed to finish it in THIS season, just as we are about to have an empty nest!
I’ll never forget crying through writing that bridge, at the piano by myself, “And I know the day will come that you’ll look behind you and see a perfect pair of wings. There to lift and let you soar, into who you will be, into beautiful things.” I didn’t even realize how much writing and singing these words would help me process the deep cavern of emotion that comes with watching your children fly!
Carrying our children in our hearts, there’s so much that we get to hold, even in the letting go. I hope that this song helps you discover every beautiful and bittersweet facet of it! slinky.to/FlytheNestSong
