So far, I've been my cheapskate self, and bought only cheap dotted notebooks for my Bullet Journals... but next year, I'm ready to invest on a good one; albeit the cost.
BUT! Problem is... I am SUPER picky about my notebooks, thus making it hard for me to get a good one. I've told myself I'll get a costly one ONLY if it meets all of my must-have list below:
• A5 size
• more than 190 pages
• more than 160 GSM
• NOT fabric cover, but PU-leather.
• plain/blank front cover (ie. no logos or names)
As you might have noticed, I love making my own embossed cover design for all my journals. So, having a pre-designed logo/brand on the front cover is really sickeningly annoying to me. And yeah! I HATE fabric book covers, even though having done bookbinding myself, I know it's the safest kind of covering. But hey! Don't debate with me on that! Haha! It's just not my taste.
So, would appreciate if any of you have any suggestions that meet my criteria above. Or... are those types of notebooks absolutely non-existent?

A thousand... in less than 2 years... Fwhoa! Definitely didn't even dare wish of it.
Yes! This channel, 'Star in a Jar' finally hit the 1K mark; all thanks to you lovely, lovely supportive subscribers of mine. Honestly, I bow down to all of you for your generous clicks to that teeny 'subscribe' button. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so, SO much from the bottom of my heart.
Then again, I won't be foolish enough to expect the next milestone in the next 10 years or so. Haha! A thousand is already a magnificent number to me.
My only hope is that you lovely folks will continue supporting me and my works. I will try to share more artworks and journal spreads here.

Today marks my YouTube channel’s 1st anniversary… Wow!! One whole year of creative journaling art videos. My channel’s ABOUT page view count is now at 79,600+ and counting. That be within one year for this quiet and introvert lady. Lol!
So, I made this post mainly to take the opportunity to say — THANK YOU!! Especially to my supportive subscribers, thank you SO very much for your support and views thus far. You have made this one person’s life a tad happier. Muah!! 😘😘

I am a journal addict. Daily creative journals, bullet journals, dream journals, mixed media journal, watercolour journals, doodle pads, sketchbooking... and at times, some occasional digital drawings (something that I should have made a career off; seeing I graduated out of it!).
But my passion is mostly the traditional way of art. I know I'm really late with the 'YouTube Bandwagon', so I opened this channel with no big expectations. Just a tiny hidden corner in the big world called, YouTube.
Oh yeah... and I bake occasionally too!
