Iām Sarita aka City Girl Gone Green
Iām a city girl/vanlifer on a mission to ābreak up with the systemā by living a more seasonal and self sufficient lifestyle with a method thatās a combination of both vanlifing and homesteading that I call #vansteading.
The goal is to save money for land by avoiding the ridiculous rents and excessive costs of living in California;
while teaching myself how to cultivate land, grow and raise most of my own food and learn skills that allow me to do as many things for myself as I can.
Most days now, youāll find me & my van parked in the driveway of a family owned property in Oakland, Ca ~ with a modest backyard where I garden, a full kitchen & pantry, that allows me to prepare and preserve my harvests for healthy eating and food security, raise some backyard chickens - and of course having access to a full bathroom with a hot shower aināt bad either. š¤
