akamonesia is the collaborative project of producers August Mesarchik and Aidan Kwasneski. Hailing from the beautiful, forested mountains of Northern California, the lifelong friends have combined their love of film, storytelling, and fantasy with their passion for pop, rap, and electronic music. After seven years of performing together, crafting songs in a basement, and producing films in and out of a classroom setting; the duo created akamonesia, a hyperpop project, which is the culmination of all aspects of their creative endeavors together.
“akamonesia” is a duo composed of two fictional characters: Akam and Onesia. Their music builds a world set in a dystopian cyberpunk future, rife with teenage angst and rebellion, whilst also exploring themes of anxiety, love, and separation in the digital age.
