From there, we make our way to the beautiful Tad Mok Waterfall, where we enjoy the refreshing mist and tranquil atmosphere before kayaking back to Nong Khiaw, taking in the scenic river views along the way.
Our adventure continues as we head back to Luang Prabang and board a slow boat to Pak Beng, then onward to the Thai border town of Huay Xai. This slow boat journey is the perfect way to experience the peaceful, scenic beauty of the Mekong River along the way.

From the exquisite mosaics of Wat Xieng Thong to the golden façade of Wat Mai, these sacred spaces invite quiet reflection and offer a glimpse into the city’s rich cultural heritage.
As the day winds down, we head to the Mekong River for a tranquil sunset cruise. Drifting along this legendary waterway, you’ll witness the sky transform into a canvas of gold and pink, reflected in the gentle ripples of the water.
The adventure continues with a visit to the Kuang Si Waterfalls, an enchanting natural retreat just outside the city. These cascading falls, surrounded by lush jungle, tumble into stunning turquoise pools that are perfect for swimming and relaxation. For the adventurous, hiking trails lead to the top of the falls, while the nearby Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre offers an inspiring conservation story.
