We had another week with surprise orca encounters, as well as some fun moments with common dolphins, a glimpse at a few bottlenose dolphins, sightings of gray whales and a sneaky fin whale as well as some awesome night time bioluminescence. The sightings aren't stopping any time soon, so our adventures continue to be wonderful ones!

Santa has a magical team to pull his sleigh, but if he had to choose sea animals, what would he
use instead of reindeer?

This week gave us a great look at an interesting variety of animals, including bottlenose dolphins, a fantastic amount of common dolphins, fin whales, including local whale Betty, a minke whale, a gray whale, Pacific white-sided dolphins, an unidentified shark, and a powerful bluefin tuna. We never truly know what we’ll find until we get out on the water!

Want a sneak peek of what it's like onboard? Sightings this week were populated by all four of our area’s commonly seen dolphin species: Risso’s, Pacific white-sided, bottlenose and common dolphins, as well as some seafood snack seeking sea lions, fantastic fin whales, and at least four balloons we "rescued" from the water. We love that our trips get a variety of animal sightings, and as winter progresses, we’re excited to see what merriment appears in the form of marine mammals.
