Going to play out the Egypt game until at least the end of Act One, but I have learnt a lot playing through, playing another game off camera and watching others.
And let me tell ye, Benito of Mexico is BUSTED, look at these abilities!!

I got the opportunity over the last week to get stuck into Ara History Untold. The new challenger on the block to Civ, which was part of last year's Xbox strategy roadshow, so hopefully a final release this year.
It was the Technical Alpha build that I got to get my grubby mitts on, and I will try and get a short video later this week to cover some of my thoughts on the interesting changes in the genre I witnessed. Unfortunately, I can't share of the the gameplay, but I think this will be a game that I cover more going forward on this channel.

I am waiting on 1.2 patch before continuing our Irish Free State gameplay as can't be dealing with Britain deleting all of its ports and crushing our economic growth.
I have Lanfang Miners to Minors fully recorded and mostly edited, it will get uploaded this week. And I think it will be Brazil's Pedro next, as I definitely need a bigger more stable economy after the grind of single province Lanfang. But another South American option is definitely an option.

Lanfang's Minors, not Miners achievement has been completed, took a very long time to pull off and is going to be Victorian Century achievement as well. Two other achievements were picked up as well.
I suspect it will be multiple edited videos instead of a long super edit.

Apologies for the lack of content over the last week or so, I got a pretty bad douse of Covid coupled with what I assume was a chest infection, that laid me up for a week leaving with no energy.
As the week dragged on, I propped up my old gaming laptop in the bed and had a bash at Lanfang with achievements disabled. Played it right through to 1936 as a rank 4 great power with full liberalisation laws and modern military but didn't manage to take the last scraps of land from Communist Dutch Indies by game end.
The AI still doesn't build enough oil was also my take away.

Based on popular demand, I have started work on Muhammed Ali's Ambition. And Egypt actually have a really good setup at the beginning.
And the storm isn't coming our way, we will be handing out pain!

Not been able to get any time this week to make or edit content. On top of hectic work & family week, I picked something up late in the week that left me drained.
Think I have it shifted now, and the kids are settled in for a chill Sunday, which should allow me to edit up some already recorded gameplay but not necessarily start anything new like Brazil or Egypt, yet.

Irish gamer and dad. I played Civ 1 and it changed my outlook, I have always loved the strategy games whether it was C&C RA or the Civ series over FPS and cRPGs.
I now have have kids and have a very busy worklife running a department, but I absolutely love getting stuck into big meaty 4x and grand strategy games.
So expect to see games like Victoria 3, Old Word, Crusaders Kings 3 and Humankind. There will be some colony builder games at times too. Banished was a game changed nearly a decade ago now, and I love Prison Architect and the recently released (in EA) Clanfolk.
Will look for a mixture of Let's Play content, and build up tricks and tips for gameplay as well as we go along.
