The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) advocates for all animals, in particular those animals whose lives it can influence, through care, education, community support, protection, and leadership. Founded in 1893, GHS has consistently provided care and shelter for homeless, stray, injured and abused Guelph/Wellington animals for the past 129 years. We now annually serve approximately 3,000 animals in need.
Funds raised benefit vulnerable animals in our community through animal sheltering, surrender and adoption services, veterinary care, pet identification, a progressive spay/neuter program, and lost pet returns. GHS also provides care and assistance with sick, orphaned or injured wildlife through its nationally recognized wildlife program.
