Announcement: The Return (albeit temporary) of Comic-Book Talks / Dialogos de Comic:
(What youâre about to read is a stream of consciousness, so bear with me while you read it, please).
Comic-Book Talks (Dialogos de Comic) is going to return, for Carlos. I donât know know when, I donât know how, still, but for him. Even if itâs for one more episode. Carlos was the first guest in this âshow or whatever weird thing it wasâ that I felt I needed to do for everybody closed at home because of the pandemic, creators, editors, and fans, and which I decided to end because it was killing my mental and physical health (and it was becoming, more and more, âwork done with no returnâ which didnât help, either).
But weâre going to return. And Iâm going to get together everybody in the world of comics, everybody and their mums. because of the same reason I always do things, because it needs to be done. Itâs the right thing to do. For Carlos.
Now that I think about it, if almost every âDialogoâ went up to three hours or close, daily (yes, that was almost suicidal) this show could last 24 hours, a couple days, or maybe Iâll need a miniseries. Why do I get myself in these messesâŠ?
Let me clarify timings: This wonât happen before December: I have to coordinate guests for Dutch Comicon in the Netherlands next week⊠and if this is done âthe way i do thingsâ, as I said, itâll be loooong, and need a lot of coordination (because, yes, I plan to do it live so fans can comment, heh). I have to think, a lot, about how to do do this. Maybe there will be two shows, one in English and another one in Spanish, maybe two of each⊠Who knowsâŠ? Maybe itâll last a whole working week! Brain activated again. 100 potential guests already there⊠More? See? Head in âcrazy David modeâ again! :)
Of course, Iâll start the âtalking to everybody and their mumsâ when itâs time, but all of you, creators, editors, in and out of comics, all of you who have been influenced by Carlos⊠I call you to make him an homage like itâs never been done in the history of comics to the genius, the legend, my brother Carlos Pacheco. Because he of all people deserves it.

DiĂĄlogos de CĂłmic va a volver, por Carlos. No se cuando, no se como, por el. Aunque sea por un capĂtulo. Fue el primer invitado de este "programa o cosa rara" que me dio por hacer para llenar el tiempo de encierro durante la pandemia y que decidĂ cerrar porque me estaba dejando la salud fĂsica y mental. Y para ese regreso voy a juntar hasta a dios bendito para hablar de Ă©l. Por mis narices. Por Carlos.
Ahora que lo pienso, si cada DiĂĄlogos de Comic diario se me iba a las tres horas o algo asĂ (sĂ, era suicida aquello), esto podrĂa durar dos dĂas, o convertirse en una miniserie. Si es que calladito estoy mĂĄs guapo... :)
Aclaro, en cuestiĂłn de tiempos, esto no lo harĂ© antes de diciembre: tengo que coordinar los invitados de la Dutch Comicon en Holanda la semana que viene... y si esto se hace como yo "hago las cosas" pues podrĂa durar 24 horas, o mĂĄs. Tengo que darle muchas vueltas a cĂłmo hacer esto. Puede que haya dos programas, uno en inglĂ©s y castellano, dos de cada, no lo sĂ©, a lo mejor se va a una semana entera... vueltas y vueltas la cabeza da... 100 personas ya en la cabeza... o mĂĄs... Âżlo veis? la vena loca se ha vuelto a activar.
Pues eso, autores y editores que habéis conocido o habéis sido influenciados por Carlos, profesionales, todos los que sois mis amigos y lo erais también de Carlos... Yo os convoco para hacerle un homenaje como jamås se ha hecho en la puñetera vida a un genio del cómic. Por Carlos, porque nadie lo merece como él.

My guest for Monday, May 24 is a true legend of comics. We all remember his work in books like Starman, The Golden Age, Leave it to Chance, or JSA, but also on WildC.A.T.S., Firearm, or Cable. He's currently an Executive Producer and writer for the Stargirl TV show airing on the CW. With all that information, I'm pretty sure you all know I'm talking about the amazing JAMES ROBINSON!
