Here's my response to a viewer who feels like they can't win in life. Let me know your thoughts!

"Idk man, I feel like you're speaking over your true potential. For example, why do you say things that are untrue or self-limiting? I think you can do better. Here's just a few things I took note of...

1) you can get a passport mailed to a PO Box, you don't need an address for that.
2) travel insurance is far less expensive than health or auto insurance. I insure my daughter and myself for $15/month through Travelex
3) you say you can't acquire these things and skills, but you can (with focus, persistence, and patience)
4) "Catching a break" isn't a real thing. Very few successful people "catch a break". What they really do is work hard for years and sacrifice immediate pleasure for long-term rewards. It might look like they "catch a break" but the truth is you're only seeing the final result, not the years of dedication and grinding. Try to reframe how you look at circumstance and realize that you shouldn't want to "catch a break". What you should want to do is find joy in working hard and building yourself day-by-day. That leads to more opportunities. You need to plant seeds, tend to them, and not expect a harvest until the next season (and realize sometimes that storms will destroy your crop). That's how farming and life both work.
5) you say you won't ever be able to build a savings fund. Why not? Find areas you can cut back on expenses and learn to improve your income. Here are a few ideas to save money: eat nothing but beans and rice (and similarly priced items, i.e. cheap) for a year or two. Cancel all subscription services (netflix, gaming, uber one, etc...). Ride a bike instead of driving a car. Don't drink, smoke, gamble, go on dates. Don't go to concerts, bars, vacations, or sporting events. Sell all your stuff.

And here are a few ideas to make more money: start a side hustle (mow and edge lawns, powerwash sidewalks, walk dogs, etc...), deliver pizzas, drive for Uber, go to yard-sales and buy stuff that you can sell for more on Facebook Marketplace or eBay.

When you're ready, I recommend looking for ways to make money online. I didn't know anything about the idea until 2016. Then, I heard about it and gave myself a 10-year goal to create a full-time online income. It only took me 3 years, but I started with a decade-long goal because I didn't know anything about anything at the time and it seemed like it would take forever to learn.

But, I started with freelance writing via online job boards and LinkedIn. I've also built out a couple YouTube channels. I've also been a freelance video editor before that. Teaching English online is always an option as there is high demand for native English teachers in countries that don't have them.

Yes, I realize that some of these things take time and effort to build the skills, understand the processes, and finally make an income before making enough money to stock some away in a savings account. But, I would just ask you, what do you think is more likely: that you "catch a break" and get lucky in life, or that you work hard for the next 5-10 years to learn the systems, build the skills, and become a pro at them? I think the latter is much more likely. If I were you, I wouldn't leave the library until then. You've got free internet and free books that will show you the way.

I hope this helps, but I realize it's not specific to you. Please feel free to drop another comment (a new comment because I don't get notifications about comment replies) in the future if you have any questions or if there's some way I can help.

P.S. I really don't like hearing people say "I can't". And you said it 3 or 4 times in this one post. So let's start with that. Instead of thinking "I can't", change your mindset to say "how can I?" There's a big difference in how your brain will operate and think, if you can make that one switch. No more "I can'ts". 😀"

I'm going to upload a new type of video you haven't seen before.

It's a poem about what I've seen around the world as pollution levels rise.

Will you watch the whole thing before judging me?
