I realise that some of you didn't realise this was the Monthly Unboxing Haul episode - The names and thumbnails are changing slightly to fit with the new direction we are going for the channel theme, but this was obviously too dissimilar to the old style of thumbnails for the unboxing! Stay tuned for the next one, I'll work on making it a little more obvious its an unboxing haul!
All the best,

Just another idea to test the waters... for those of you who want a slower paced unboxing... does watching one LIVE sound like something you'd want to do!? I'm toying with the idea of live-streaming the entire experience on twitch, and then cutting it down for the normal episode on here. It would still be viewable in its entirety over on twitch, but the slimmed 20 minute cut down would be available here. It'll allow greater interactivity and allow you guys to ask questions about the products as I unbox them (and also see all the mishaps that happen)... What are your thoughts on this idea? š¤
And whilst you're here, why not give me a follow over on twitch... *JUST* in case...

ā ļøIMPORTANTā ļø Thank you to everyone who dropped feedback about what they want to see in the last post on here š There are a few changes we are going to try and make (it wont be overnight, but a gradual change).
The first is the video length! We are going to try and reduce the time of regular episodes of Stu's Reviews to under 15 minutes per episode, regardless of what the episode is about... You might still see the odd one or two over that time limit, but we are going to start to at least try to condense the information for you!
Next, you'll hopefully see a change in the unboxing haul episodes - I would love to get these to under 20 minutes to start with... As it stands, they run closer to 30 minutes (sometimes over), which is getting out of hand!
So expect shorter, snappier edits around products that we've seen a lot of (headphones, projectors etc), and more attention placed on the more bizarre of the unboxing items (mouldy cakes and Teckin smart plugs), also we are going to try and cut out some of the unnecessary sections, reduce the 'rosettes' at the end to just 1 'best of show' award, followed by the audiences choice potentially from the previous episode (potentially some kind of voting for a singular episode... spitballing here?)
ALSO, I've been toying with the idea of potentially making the unboxing hauls into a more digestible format for those that want a bit more choice about what items they want to watch my quick take on... And that could be in the form of 60 second shorts on a dedicated 'shorts' channel. The unboxing haul would essentially be divided into singular short episodes such as 'unboxing a Teckin smart plug', uploaded across the month (so not all in one go). Within this, I could also condense Broll from regular episodes into a 60 second short also, again for you guys who might not want to watch a full episode on an apple event, but would take a quick peak at a 60 second one.
DONT WORRY - this wont replace the regular long form unboxing haul - it would be in addition to rather than replacement, hence why it would be on a separate channel to differentiate between long form and short form. It also might help with discoverability, and allow people to find unboxing shorts on products they want to see unboxed, that would otherwise be buried on the channel.
I would love your thoughts on the reduction of runtime and the idea of shorts, or if you have any other ideas... so please do let me know in the comments below! šš„
