Born in Ravenna in 1979, Marco Santià graduated with honours in piano with Giovanni Valentini, in composition with Cristina Landuzzi and in conducting with Luciano Acocella. He took part in master classes held by pianists such as: Jörg Demus, Pier Narciso Masi, Michele Marvulli, and Andrzej Jasinski. He was awarded a scholarship offered to him at the Académie Musicale de Villecoze, to deepen the study of vocal chamber music with Dalton Baldwin. He has performed in Bologna, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Imola, Brescia, Carrara, Arezzo, Verona, Ancona, Macerata, Velletri, Salzburg, Barcelona and Villecroze. He has recorded The Medium and The Telephone by Gian Carlo Menotti, and Il servo padrone by Aldo Tarabella for Brilliant Classics Label, broadcastings such as: A tambur battente, Trenta minuti and Fuori Roma, and radio broadcastings such as: Il pianista, Ultimo Grido, and Il catalogo è questo for Radio Classica, and Il ridotto dell’opera for RSI.
