Two years ago, on this day, I called it quits on my marriage. We were married for about two and a half years and after two years, Iโm still fighting to get my divorce.
All the trauma and bitterness of this experience aside, I have no grievance, no regrets.I am not feeling any negative vibe either.
This experience has taught me to be grateful to life as it has taught me to realise the deeper significance of existence. Perhaps, life is more meaningful now as I sit with Kitty cat and consider my future journey as Rudraveena player. I am grateful to all those people around me whose kind words and thoughts have given me the strength to cope up with my setback. It would still take some more time to heal my heart but I feel happy now, in my present state, in harmony with everything around me.

Last couple of years havenโt been very kind, all of us have been fighting so many unfair fights. Covid, illness, a surgery, a bad divorce, professional nepotism have been some of the things Iโve been dealing with. So sorry again for not putting out my work as frequently like before. Madhuvanti Pal is a rudra veena artist, builder, and teacher, trained in khayal and dhrupad. A disciple of Vidushi Mita Nag of the Bishnupur Gharana, she pioneered a refined veena design that enhances playability while preserving its depth. Her LP Holy Mother, released by Sublime Frequencies, was the first vinyl by a female rudra veena player. She now leads the Rudra Veena Gurukul, teaching students worldwide.
