Leihoku, ley-hoh-koo, is quite certain her voice is a gift from her Hawaiian grandpa. As a young girl in Hawaii she found a stage in all kinds of places. From atop a chair at family gatherings to school drama productions to shopping mall appearances with her youth vocal and dance group, Leihoku was constantly showcasing her talents. While a senior in high school, Leihoku landed the lead role in a traveling production of Elton John's opera Aida. The tour took her to the Festival Fringe in Edindurgh, Scotland. After college Leihoku started writing, recording, and performing with a renewed urgency to not only succeed but also to share her art with the world.
Leihoku is a passionate vocalist influenced by a variety of genres. Folk, R&B, Pop, Hip-Hip, and Rock all blend to form Leihoku's style, attitude, and most importantly her music. She has just released her first single "Not Another You" on iTunes.
