Legend and Violet art. I traced spirit and rain and made them look like The Guardians of Lingua protagonists! Who knows which is Legend and which is Violet? It’s pretty obvious ;)

The Guardians of Lingua. Book 1, The Petrified Herd Chapter 2

Legend was in his class about history, it was pretty much all they learned about in “school”. But Legend found it interesting, still, no one treated him like a prince there.
That was good, Legend wanted nothing to do with royalty. Prancing around like an idiot ding dong wasn’t his thing. Legend listened to his history teacher, Lia Oaktail. Mostly known as Mrs. Oaktail.
“Today we will be studying the history of the four tribes of Lingua. Griffins, Wolves, Dragons, and Horses. Us.” She said. She looked down at her paper on the wooden table and cleared her throat. “I will be reading you all a chapter of The Four Tribes for today’s history.” She said firmly, making sure everyone was paying attention in class. Then she began.
“Long ago in the historic lands of Lingua, peacefully lived the Four Tribes. Griffins, Wolves, Dragons and Horses. every three centuries one animal from each tribe was chosen to be one of the Guardians of Lingua. The last known guardians were Trina Griffinclaw, Nicko Dragonblade, Phantom Wolfhowler, and the first horse, Aloof Silverhoof.”
Legend’s ears perked when he heard Silverhoof. He interrupted. “Silverhoof? Aloof Silverhoof?” he questioned. Mrs. Oaktail frowned. “Yes, Legend. You are related to Aloof.”
Legend snorted. “May I be excused?”
Mrs. Oaktail groaned slightly. “If you must.”
Legend was smart. He snuck out of school and headed home to try and find old pictures or notebooks with information about Aloof.
Sadly, he never found anything. Just some old pictures of Legend’s long-lost brother, Darkness. Whom he only met as an extremely young colt, just a few weeks old, then he disappeared, along with his mother who tragically died in the last place Darkness was seen, attacked by wolves, and left there to suffer near Deep Hoof Valley.
Not even Silverhoof talks about Owlfeather, Legend’s mother. No one does. And it’s strange. But Legend never thought about it. It doesn’t matter anymore anyways.
Legend nickered to himself and walked to his room, pictures of him and his entire family together hung on the walls, all of them were happy.
We were happier then… Legend thought.
He sighed and sat down on his straw bed. Just as he had sunk into his straw and was about to fall asleep he heard a knock on the outside of the hut.
He jumped. Dad? His teacher? Who was it.
He slowly creeped outside but found no one but a letter stuck to the outside wall of the hut. Legend read it out loud in a whisper.
“I’m watching you, brother… I’m watching you hard…”
Legend flinched. It had to be a joke. It couldn’t be Darkness. It was impossible. “It’s probably nothing.” Legend said to himself, tearing off the letter and bringing it into his room.
Legend thought for a moment. Then shook his head and made a face. “Nah.”

It was midnight, but Legend stayed up, his eyes wide open, he felt something was watching him. Then, in the corner of his eye, on the other side of his bed, there a red light glowing from the letter he threw on the floor. He stood up and walked over to it. It was no longer words, but a picture of a black horse with red eyes. The red eyes was where the red light was coming from. Then he knew. He was being watched.
By his own brother.
