Clarification Statement by Dr. Hamza Ashraf
I would like to take this opportunity to address the current concerns surrounding the MDCAT exam and the ongoing discussions between students from UHS and SZABMU. My commitment has always been to advocate for the rights, needs, and voices of students from all provinces. This issue impacts everyone, and I have continually worked to ensure that all students, regardless of location, are represented fairly and equitably in this process.
It is therefore deeply concerning to see growing tensions and conflicts among students based on provincial affiliations. I believe that this discord is counterproductive to the very goals we are all working toward. In these challenging times, it is essential to remember the importance of unity and respect. I urge all students to show respect not only to each other but also to the decisions made by the courts, as these decisions play a critical role in preserving fairness and justice.
If, in any way, my actions or statements have unintentionally hurt anyone’s sentiments, I sincerely apologize. My intentions have always been to promote a sense of unity among students, not division. I strongly believe that the best outcome for all students can only be achieved through mutual respect and collaboration. A fair system for everyone is my ultimate aim, and I wholeheartedly wish every student the best of luck in their exams and future endeavors.
Together, we can achieve a stronger, more unified student body, capable of creating lasting positive change.
