OMG! and yes, this is a minor 1st world issue here, but I JUST noticed that last 80+ videos I have uploaded have thumbnails with the word Disassembly, but without letter "B".
What is actually better?

Another "funny" design from #Asus. (K56CA)

Today - it is an "easy" access to HDD and memory compartment.
Oops! Good luck replacing this memory stick! :-)

An interesting find.
This is a touch cable with HDD connector together!
#Asus this is ridiculous!

First time see this type of, looks like, GPU connection to the motherboard. Some relatively newer 17" Dell.
Not so new, has 6th gen i7 in it.
Anyone had one like that?

In a recent year, how many times did you successfully repaired your own device, appliance, or car?

Another day, another laptop being disassembled. This time it was HP Pavilion 15-AB243CL. Some usual spinning screw nonsense - sooner or later everyone gets it. This type of screw was holding a cover with the feet that was holding a palmrest and ripping a good palmrest out wasn't really an option.

Found a way to hold a plastic screw hole and was able to unscrew it.

You can watch it here :) https://youtu.be/KM3_w077z-k

Happy disassembling and repairs!

Cheers!

It is unbelievable that if you master a certain skill, like disassemble a laptop - you would be able to challenge yourself to the next level ⬆️.
On my relatively new Toyota - a Driver Side Door Lock stopped working and I had to use a key to open my door like an idiot, ikr, first world problem...
Finally, I decided to replace it, half an hour later - my door lock works again!
If a human can take apart a laptop to replace a motherboard - for sure human can replace a stupid door lock actuator in a 2014 Toyota ;-)
