On Being Wrong: A Contemplation
Even if I am wrong to you, I am right for me, as I can be the villain in your story to be the savior in mine.
Because the definition of what is ārightā has shifted - it NEEDS to shift - as one takes back their authority and allows the body to speak its truth without boundaries.
I donāt want to be right - I want to be free.
And freedom within these violent systems and structures as a Black queer woman with a big mouth and even bigger back, means I must be wrong for IT so I can get right with ME.
This is Ori work. The work of the higher Selfā¦getting to the highest parts of ourselves by calling back our spirits and asking our bodies to believe that we will believe it onceā¦for the first timeā¦again.

Slide: Political spectacle is what we are getting right now in the US. Itās like a conjure to get folks to willingly buy into authoritarian ideology couched as āprogress.ā But that āprogressā is a reproduction of what already is, just a different font. So what the hell do we as a society really want?
Our imaginations have been taken for so long itās like we only know 2 storylines and neither brings life. Just a stagnant decay of a loop that we have to break as itās breaking all of us.
Thoughts: Folks have talked about the Hunger Games for a few a years now as we have watched the US political arena implode on itself. And this DNC convention was one big spectacle like those in the capital city of that trilogy series. Spectacle is used to distract from what is already going on, and what will continue to occur because folks are distracted. This allows authoritarian ideology to become popular rhetoric and the only possibility folks can see.
Break the hold the spectacle has on your ability to see reality for what it is, and how that will really impact you/us in the long run. And then imagine and enact new ways forward.
