Thank you for all the messages and support of my new song π It's been one hell of a ride this past year. I wrote my second verse in a very dark place. At the time we were told to expect and prepare for the worst, and I had nowhere to turn but to my music.
I don't ever want to get ahead of myself, because given the past few months of losses I find I get cynical with life and the future. But just know we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, we aren't completely out of the woods yet but we are in a much better place. I won't let myself look too far ahead but there is definitely a road forward.
"Best Of Myself" is out now on all streaming platforms. I'm going to be taking half of all streaming and download revenue and donating them to my local cancer charity. Releasing music like this, hearing your stories and your situations, it always resonates with me on a different level. If you're reading this and you're one of those fighting - keep fighting. If you're one of those who's watching events unfold and feels helpless for someone you care about - keep going and keep being present for them. Our time on this earth is finite, and for me the most important thing about life is who you share it with.
Here's to the final hour before dawn, when the night is at its darkest just before the light shines brightest.
