The SSC CGL Exam will be conducted in 2 stages – Tier 1 and Tier 2. Both Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams will be conducted in Computer-based Online mode.
- The Tier 1 exam comprises 100 questions for a total of 200 marks, with each question carrying 2 marks each.
- The questions will be objective-type MCQs.
- There will be a negative marking of ½ mark for every incorrect answer in Tier 1.
- The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam will be of qualifying nature and marks will not be counted in the final selection.
- The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted in 2 phases – Paper 1, and Paper 2.
- Paper-I will be conducted in 2 sessions – Session I and Session II on the same day in two shifts.
- The SSC CGL Syllabus includes four subjects - English, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- English Language section contains 25% weightage of the SSC CGL Tier-I Exam while In tier 2, It has higher weightage, Candidate can secure 135 Marks for 45 question.
