This is called "Zentangle" inspired art. Basic shapes and simple techniques are combined to form beautiful, and intricate designs that are both relaxing to make, and fun to look at.

These are the first few I tried and it seems I've adopted my own unique style. I chose mostly floral elements, but you can use whatever you want, and the best part is that there's no way to do it wrong. You just have to stick with it; two of these pieces, I almost abandoned halfway through because I hated them, but now that they're finished, I'm really happy with how they turned out. I went with traditional black and white but I might try adding color to them as well.

Here is my latest canvas. I'm just learning to paint, and I'm using Apple Barrel paints which don't blend very well, but each piece I've made is better than the last one, lol.

This is what I did with the leftovers from our faux stone jewelry. I will use them as embellishment pieces for another project. #polymerclaymushrooms #leftoverclay #clayideas

My daughter and I, playing with faux stone effects and foils. These were made with translucent sculpey, acrylic paints and silver and gold foils. Please visit Creatively Kiwi (link below) to view the tutorial for the blue ones. The others were made using the same technique, with different colors. We chose tiny butterflies, gears, rhinestones, and roses for decor. Beautiful. #polymerclayart #polymerclayjewelry #polymerclayideas

Sorry for not posting this past Wednesday, I broke my cell phone, and wasn't able to film. I got another phone so Ill try to get a video up before Friday this week.
I just made this dragon eye photo album and thought I'd share, cause it turned out great. This was a birthday gift for my husband, so I made the eye to represent him, the heart for myself, and the 5 eggs for our children. The gears are also clay, made from a mould, and the text is a wooden piece that I painted to match. I'm sorry I couldn't film it, but if your interested in a similar tutorial please comment below, dragon eyes are one of my favorite things to make.

These are even better, I love them. Definitely going to post a video for these ones, they're tedious, but not difficult, and the mushrooms are made basically the same way, so I can do both pairs in a single video. These are made by hand except the backgrounds, I used some koeker brand cutters for the base shape.

These are the same types of mushrooms from my latest video, but on a much smaller scale. They look great, I'm gonna turn them into earrings. #polymerclayearrings #claymushrooms #polymerclayart

When I was kid I would draw, color, or paint with anything I could get my hands on. I never paid any heed to what those items were meant for, all I saw was the mark they left behind.
Sometimes being a better artist is simply learning to step outside of the box. It's the ability to consider unconventional methods and discover new techniques, learning to think about what you could use rather than what you think you should.
