I remember staying up late simply to get the chance to experience the world of Dragon Ball for one more episode, one more measly 23 minute episode. Today I can easily say that those are some of my most cherished moments of my childhood. Snuggling up in a blanket, making sure it wasn’t too loud as to not get caught, turning the volume down when a transformation was about to happen. I haven’t had an important figures death affect me in quite some time but I hope Akira Toriyama in his final moments had a chance to truly understand how many kids, teenagers, and now adults he’s affected with one of the most impactful stories to date.
