This week I published my most disliked video ever: "Jordan Peterson WILL Lose his licence to practice Clinical Psychology"
If you are a strong supporter of Jordan Peterson's view, or strongly opposed, you likely had strong opinions about this post.
In this video I respond to the treat by the collage of psychologist of Ontario to Jordan Peterson regarding his social media activities. I will say here that many people who agree with Jordan Peterson's perspective on the world also felt attacked by the actions of the Psychologist's in Ontario.
My goal in this video is not to support or disagree with any particular point of view that Jordan Peterson may have. On the contrary, I disagree with much of what he says, but I strongly agree with the value of saying these things. In this video, I attempted to show the Policies and Justifications that professional organizations are likely using to influence what their members say and do online.
I also believe we will see more and more of these organizations weighing in on their members' activities online and this will likely shape how many of us communicate in the future.
So I will ask you. Do you think professional organizations should have limits on what their members say when posting online or communicating publicly?
