Hello, it's been like more than a century since I gave an update hehe. A lot of things had been preventing me from posting here often and I know a lot of my subs by now are probably disappointed in me for keeping silent, not only about the 2022 Animash, but also about why I haven't been posting that much anymore. I don't wanna make this post super long so I'll try to keep this brief. Feel free to skip at the very end for the TLDR. 👌👌👌
I started making the Animash 2022 at October of last year. It was smooth sailing at first, but then, after just graduating college last 2021 and taking a well-deserved break throughout 2022, it kinda started to sink in that I eventually needed to find a job. So that's what I did - I started applying for multiple companies starting December 2021. I kinda did f*ck myself over for thinking that I had the ability to finish the mashup before 2023 while still trying to find a job. Not only that, I also convinced myself that applying for a job would've been easy to do. 2023 came around and the pressure, stress, and anxiety of finding a job prevented me from actively working on the 2022 Animash. Of course, it was still in the back of my mind, but finding a job kinda took a toll on me mentally (boohoo me amirite lmao) and I had to prioritize job hunting first rather than finishing the mashup. This took me 5 months, starting from December till April, to finally get a job. Moreover, I was happy that I did get accepted in my dream company too, even after applying for 20+ companies and 40+ job positions. I have been working for 2 weeks now, 3 weeks starting tomorrow. I can't believe I am now living the Wotakoi/Aggretsuko office life. 💀💀
So now, maybe you're asking yourself, why didn't Static tell or update us about this much sooner? My simple answer for that question is that I just did not want to post any kind of personal stuff about myself in the channel. I just want to post fun and wacky shit and not post about any sad shit in here, as much as possible XD. This is the reason why whenever someone asks me "Why aren't you posting anymore?" or "Where's the 2022 Animash??", I always just vaguely reply with "Sorry, I'm busy IRL." because I don't want you guys worrying about me that much. I know some of you guys already understand what I mean when I say I am busy, and always encourage me to take my time and to stay safe. I appreciate you guys, from the bottom of my heart, for being understanding about it.
So yeah, after much pondering, I am updating you guys to say that I am temporarily going on hiatus to focus on my job first (and also to support my fam too hehe). Does this mean that the 2022 Animash is cancelled? Of course not. I'm not gonna abandon nor cancel a project that I have worked and put SO much time and love into. I've already added like 100+ songs in the first 10 minutes of the mashup and I'm not planning to stop LMAO. Lastly, I especially don't want to disappoint you guys. I do apologize for making you guys wait so long for the Animash, only for me to destroy the hype by going on hiatus. But I guess reality just crashed into me and isekai'd me into an office job. It is what it is lol.
𝑻𝑳𝑫𝑹: I am going on hiatus because I have a job now. I haven't posted an update for so long due to the stress and anxiety of trying to find a job for 5 months, shifting my focus more on job-hunting rather than completing the Animash. I am living the adult life now OOF.
I hope this has been a sufficient update on why I haven't been posting much lately. I'm glad I finally got the courage to post this since I feel like a huge weight just got lifted from my shoulders lmao. As a quick update on the 2022 Animash, I won't be able to release it this December since I am taking my time in making the mashup so that it wouldn't feel rushed. I think I'm approximately 30% done with it and hoping for a release sometime in January (no promises though hehe). Again, I appreciate all the positivity and support you guys left in the last community post, and I will make sure that I can complete this project the best I can while also trying to balance mashup-making and personal stuff in my life.

Since everyone's been asking about it, yes, I am going to make one for this year. But please remember that I'm only one person and mainly doing these mashups for fun. It'll take some time for me to complete it so I hope you guys would be patient with me until I officially release it.
