So what I'm finding with outpost building and crafting. It's legitimately a completely different gameplay loop. almost completely separate, haha. You know how you here a lot of game developers say things like "the game finally started coming together in the last 6 months..." I think that is the part of Starfield that didn't quite get there, and not that I'm giving them a pass, but there are soooooo many systems (game mechanics, not star systems, lol) going on that it is a legit challenge to make them all flow together. I think BGS are one of the best game makers in the world with access to the best in the industry, so I think there are still opportunities for them to fine tune these things to make them fit together for a more fluid and comprehensive game loop. Those are some of my initial thoughts after about 25-30 hours dedicated to these systems.
Totally wrecked my studio to build a new set for the new video. I filmed and edited the whole video sitting down at my typical set, but it felt really flat and stale while sitting down. I wanted to try something a bit more dynamic where I could move around and try something more off the cuff instead of scripted. Iād love to get your feedback on the new set and structure of the new video.
