the Hartford, Connecticut based entertainer shared.
Originally from the community of Whitfield Town in Kingston, Buchanan decided to
coin the name King X which came from his own personal experiences.
“The name King X is based on my belief that all men are kings. All my friends use to
say that I’m always a big X factor whether it was during school work, girls or
sports. X is unknown, X is unlimited. Therefore, the name King X was birthed,” said
King X.
King X made his recording debut in 2007 with the song Road Kill which was
produced by Dweetnow Entertainment. Since then, his talent has been recognized
by several leading Jamaica based and overseas producers including Dynasty
Entertainment, Track Starr, NS Music, Zigman Records, No Landing Music and
Dweetnow Entertainment.
“My style of music is ever evolving. I feel as each day goes by, I find myself
evolving musically into different sounds and melodies. Very lyrical yet not
overbearing,” he explained.
