Tonight, I had my largest exhibition to date. 18 paintings. It was special to see a collection of my work and share it with my family, friends and the public. It was sweet to have my kids with me, seeing what their dad has been fussing over.
It reminded me that it’s important to take a beat on occasion and appreciate the time and work I’ve put into this. So often, it’s on to the next painting or the next event, head down, trying to put in the work so the dream can stay alive.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come since I bought my first watercolor book and fell in love with painting. I’m excited for what’s to come.
Feeling very grateful tonight.
