I love a good progress picture! I was shocked putting this together and right away noticing the many differences between my pregnancies. While you may just see the physical changes, I look at these pictures together and see the life I lived and how I felt as I carried each life.
My 1st pregnancy I was ecstatic to be a mom! I didnā€™t think about my health in relation to what I did on a day to day basis, things I ate, how much I weighed. Confidence 1000% deflated and it wasnā€™t until my postpartum journey began that I grew more insecure, struggled with depression, disassociated from life and recognized my need for others and the Lord!
My 2nd pregnancy came to me as a shock which sounds silly to say considering thatā€™s one of the purposes of sexšŸ¤! I was on a weightloss mission and became disappointed to ā€œhave toā€ put myself on the back burner! That sounds CRAZY to say! Being that I was growing a human life and also taking care of a toddler, myself and husband, I NEEDED TO KEEP ON PRIORITIZING MY HEALTH - especially for the baby! After I accepted my pregnancy, I was very excited for another little girl that I decided to start making conscious healthy choices. I enjoyed this pregnancy fully and more my postpartum journey since I lost 100lbs!
Although I gained weight before finding out, my 3rd pregnancy was my favorite! The scale was the least of my worries. My focus was learning to know Jesus and staying close to Him, making healthy choices, keeping it simple with a nutrition plan, 1 gallon water daily and enjoying all in moderation. Prioritizing all areas of my health gave me joy, energy and physical capability to enjoy my family even at 42 weeks pregnant! The all in or all out mentality is GONE! I have victory over my food binging addiction! Jesus is my joy, hope, peace and strength!! 3 pregnancies and 3 years of a progressing health journey! Been such a good life of growth and I anticipate my 3rd postpartum journey that will include putting into practice what Iā€™ve learned into my weightloss and fitness phase! Also looking forward to meeting and journeying with a bunch of you ladies who have been following my journey - new and veteransšŸ’—!!

Progress between my 2nd pregnancy and my 3rd are pretty evident and I donā€™t even need to take a picture at the same angle to prove itšŸ˜Ž.
.
Body dysmorphia is a rough mental battle. Iā€™m glad I chose to track my progress through picturesšŸ„°.
.
Anyway, I didnā€™t have much to say other than I love how Iā€™ve grown to be determined and passionate about my health and how I take care of my familyšŸ„¹. Canā€™t wait to keep sharing more of my wins with you allšŸ‘šŸ½!!

Embracing the incredible growth in my mindset and the profound healing in my heart has been a transformational journey. The baggage I carried was like a weight I desperately wanted to avoid, and my coping mechanism was through food binging. When I decided to take my health more seriously, I made the most crucial choice of all: I laid all my baggage at the feet of JesusšŸ¤²šŸ¼

On the days when I was tempted to pick it back up, I reminded myself that true healing comes when I let Him carry me through itšŸ„¹. I had this powerful image of setting my burdens down at His feet, trusting that He'll craft something beautiful from themšŸŒø. The joy radiating from within me today is a gift from Him.

Staying consistent with the habits I've established in my life is possible because they all revolve around His presence and the process of surrendering more to Him. One day, I'll create a video to share it all with you, but for now, know that this journey has been transformative, and I'm thrilled to have you alongside me. šŸŒ±

I have found a simple plan that works for me!! The first time I fully committed to it, I lost 100lbs in 6 months and in all honesty, I couldnā€™t even enjoy it because my mindset was wacky!! I just wanted to be ā€œskinnyā€ because that would somehow solve all of my problemsšŸ˜‚.
I gained about 40 or so pounds back and am so ready to lose the weight again, but most importantly, I have been working on my mindset and truly changing my lifestyle! I realized that getting healthy is NOT just about weightloss! But about establishing new healthy habits and adapting your lifestyle to suite your ultimate goal! I want to focus on how I want to feel rather than how I look!
If I am taking care of how my body feels, I believe my physical health will begin to reflect the work Iā€™ve been doing!
Itā€™s been a hard journey of harsh realizations about how I see myself and how others see me, but what really matters is - who am I already? Who does God say I am and what about me makes me so special??
Itā€™s safe to say that this journey is about more than just weightloss and it feels so good to say that and believe itā™„ļø

ā€œWhat made you decide to run a mile everyday?ā€

Running is a form of therapy for me and to be completely honest, I was in need of a challenge. I was too comfortable with where I was at and my goals are wayyyy to big to stop nowšŸ‘šŸ½!

I recently challenged myself with this, ā€œHow do you expect others to rely or take your word seriously if you canā€™t even rely on yourself to keep your own commitments to yourself??ā€
(Hopefully that makes sensešŸ˜…)

Truth is, Iā€™m NOT as reliable as Iā€™d like to be! I DESPERATELY want to change that!!

A day at a time, I have been fighting to keep my commitment! Whether my attitude is joy, Iā€™m STILL going to show upšŸ˜Ž!

I have 67.6lbs before I reach my goal and I AM going to do it! For me, for my kids, for my husbandā€¦but mostly to further the Kingdom of GodšŸ™ŒšŸ¼!

Getting healthy is more than just about what youā€™re eating and how much you exercise, itā€™s also about your Soul, Mind and Spirit!

The life I want is one where my body does not limit me and keep me from sharing the love of Jesus whenever, wherever and however He calls me too! (Proper Nutrition, Hydration and Movement)

I want to be joyful and serve those around me!! (Spirit of Joy)

My purpose on this earth is to further His Kingdom and I canā€™t do that until I discipline myself to get into His Presence and get into His Word! (Soul and Mind)

Body, soul, mind and spirit all seem to tie together! I need to make sure each of these points are on check if I want to make any difference in the world around mešŸ’•
