My Dearest Beauty,
I've spent the better part of a week writing this letter to you, and it still didn't turn out the way that I wanted it to. It's really hard for me to say what I have to say in the eloquent way I want to say it, so I suppose the raw truth will have to do:
I'm closing my tarot business. I can no longer afford (financially, emotionally, physically, spiritually) to keep it open. This decision is heartbreaking, but it's one that I have to make. It's time to accept things as they are and move on.
Practically, this means that I'm retiring my one-on-one tarot readings and monthly tarotscopes for the foreseeable future. I have no plans to create new tarot-related content, including blog, video, and social media posts. This space will likely transform into something new, or will remain dormant. It really depends on whether or not I feel that this space can hold my truth with grace.
I will continue to sell the Genius Garden Tarot Deck + Guidebook on my website until this print run sells out, but I won't be printing a second edition. I'm retiring all Genius Garden Academy e-courses, but all current students will have continued access via my website.
I will still be sending newsletters, but they're evolving into something refreshingly new. They'll likely be more raw and personal, or more literary and dreamy, or both. One thing I do know is that they'll authentically communicate what's in my heart, and as long as I'm doing that, I know I can't go wrong.
I'm so sorry, Beauty. I really am. It's been an honor and a privilege to serve you these past seven years. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean so much to me, and I will never, ever forget it. Showing up for you through tarot and spirituality has been a gift, and I'll treasure it always.

After catching some grief, I want to explain why I lump astral travel and astral projection together: in my view, they're both dealing with the same imaginal space. Many claim that astral projection is the phenomenon of the soul leaving the body and that astral travel is more like Jungian active imagination, and I totally respect and appreciate that perspective. However, I've noticed a trend that those who claim to have frequent OBE's are usually pretty quick to assert its superiority over more accessible forms of astral travel. It's like folks who claim that one has never really had an orgasm until they've had a g-spot orgasm: it's a status symbol. It's a way to assert superiority so the person who's doing the asserting can feel better about themselves in one way or another.
One of the main goals of my work is to make mind magick accessible to a wider audience. I want to offer perspectives and viewpoints that make it easier for the skeptic and the woo-suspicious to say "yes" to experimenting with the glorious instrument of the mind. I'm not trying to actively confuse or mislead. I'm just trying to actively subvert gatekeeping so the interested and intrigued can find a way in <3
