When I first started hiking, it was all about the destination—summits, distances, ticking off trails. But over the years, I’ve realised something:

The best hikes aren’t about getting somewhere. They’re about being present.

Slowing down, soaking in the details, and appreciating the journey itself has made every hike more meaningful.

What’s a mindset shift that’s changed the way YOU hike?

Navigation Tip: Always Look Back 👀

👉When hiking, it’s easy to focus on what’s ahead—but don’t forget to look back.

🏔️ Trails can look completely different on the return trip, especially in dense bush or open alpine areas. Take mental notes of key landmarks, unusual trees, or trail junctions.

🥾 This simple habit can make a huge difference if you ever need to retrace your steps.

Let’s inspire each other today! 🌍

What’s the most breathtaking place you’ve ever hiked?

Was it a misty forest, a mountain peak, or maybe a coastal trail with epic views?

I’ll go first: Well, it's definately Tasmania and central Tassie up in the Overland Track region is hard to beat, but Norway is definately a close second!

I’d love to hear your stories and see your recommendations for future adventures! 📸👇

What’s the biggest mental hurdle you’ve faced on a hike?

For me, it was when I broke my ankle on the trail and still had to walk out on it. That was one of the toughest mental battles I’ve ever faced. Staying calm, focused, and pushing through the pain was a challenge I’ll never forget.

How about you? What’s been your toughest moment, and how did you overcome it? Share your experience below—I’d love to hear your story!
