30 coturnix quail chicks hatched, another 30 in the incubator and new breeds coming soon!

If you were to buy fertile quail eggs, what breed would you look for?

Also considering raising and selling fertile bantam eggs!

An extensive order is on the way!

In my right hand lies a spring development kit And in my left hand is our new sediment filter bucket!

The sediment catch bucket is crucial for anyone running "regular appliances" (unlike ourselves LOL)

Someone out there just got much more prepared!

Strong medicine!!

Ivy and myself dug up one of our black cohosh plants for use as medicine.

You wouldn't believe how many of these we have! But even still it was hard to dig one up.. (this was one of our smaller ones!)

Once we gain greater access to the rest of our property we will begin the farming of these plants and many more!

I don't know that I would dig them up to sell dry.

- But I will sell them as live plants to those people such as ourselves who would like to start their own patch!

Our first quail eggs!

(Yes they are tiny, the eggs beside them in the carton are even bantam eggs!)

We pulled some strings and bought ourselves an incubator!
Because we don't want these to go to waste!

Ps. We are taking a short hiatus for the next few days to get the place cleaned up for solstice party. But our next house build video will be cutting in the windows.

A new batch of spring kits!

These will be white instead of blue (not that it matters because you're not supposed to see them once installed)

But I still prefer white, and it would appear we have found the perfect source for white food grade barrels!

(These contained olive oil)

We are also going to start carrying our own handmade sediment filters designed for use with our spring kits just as soon as I can save up enough to get the supplies!

Stay safe! And remember to drink plenty of water! Lol

Homestead update!

We got some animals at a really good deal!

We got a breeding herd of quail, a rabbit (and cage) as well as two sets of European breeding bantam chickens!

With the solar supplies we've been sent for review (I'm behind on two more right now) I believe we can run a small incubator from amazon.

Although with three different varieties of birds we may need more than one LOL

I also preserve the snake skin Ivy found, and have purchased all the supplies to tan them legitimately!

- If there's any suggestions on what to do with these skins for the website let me know! -

At this point we will probably put them in small picture frames for desktops, or for the teaching of children.

And last but not least the pallet house roof is done! (for now)
The video should be posted by tomorrow afternoon at the latest!

PS. The cardboard is temporary LOL

Project Spring upgrade is in the works!
(DIY Natural mountainside spring)

We will be replacing our two 55 gallon barrels with one 275 gallon food grade tote, giving us nearly three times the water storage!

We're also coming out with a new spring development product for the website!
So while we're upgrading the spring's water storage we will also be installing one of our new spring development products as well.

A big thank you to all of our amazing customers! As well as our wonderful viewers!

- Without whom upgrades like this would not be possible!

You know you're doing something right when you get a comment like this on an order!

A big thank you to the person in question for a second purchase!

Waste not want not! We have half a dozen springs to cap here on the steep in the woods mountain as well.

I have a question for all the mechanics.

(More than likely I know what the issue is, but you've got to Hope LOL)

The car in question is a 2006 V8, and I'd like input what the problem might be (other than a blown head gasket)

Celia was heading home the other day and the idol became erratic. I plugged up my code reader and it said misfire cylinder 7.

So I disconnected the battery and replaced both the spark plug and coil pack. At which point it did not want to start back up. I did eventually get it started and it was blowing heavy white smoke.

All indications point towards a blown head gasket, but there was no smoke before changing the spark plug and coil pack so I figured it was worth asking.

P.S - I'm not reading any codes other than generic misfire.
