Shanti Sreedhar has taken on a lifelong vision to expose the richness of Indian culture and heritage through the medium of dance and Natya Mandala, the first official institute for Indian classical dance in the Philippines, is her brainchild.
The name 'Natya Mandala' is synonymous with style, elegance, excellence, and discipline. The institute trains dancers in Indian classical dance forms: Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi. As they learn these techniques, dancers prepare for their arangetram, or artistic debut, featuring a two-hour solo performance. Also, the Natya Mandala gives many performances annually at multicultural events. The annual programs of Natya Mandala have become a most awaited cultural treat for the local and expat audience in the Philippines.
