Il y a déjà 10 ans, le Rap Contenders faisait ses premiers pas sur la scène rap parisienne, dans un bar du 17ème arrondissement.
Portée par son créateur, Dony S, mc parisien passionné de battle rap US et entouré de Badsam et Stunner, duo que l'on ne présente plus, la toute 1ère ligue de battle rap à cappella française, prend son envol en décembre 2010.
La diffusion de la première édition fait un véritable carton sur Youtube.
Bien plus qu'un phénomène de mode, très rapidement le Rap Contenders capte un public grandissant et suscite l’intérêt des médias et des professionnels du secteur.
Le RC devient alors un véritable tremplin pour de nombreux artistes, tels que, Dinos, Alpha Wann, Deen Burbigo, Taïpan, Luidji ou encore Nekfeu et Bigflo et Oli.
