Yo, what's up?
It's been way too long since I posted an update, and no this is not an April Fool's post lol.
As you may have imagined from my long silence my injuries have turned out to be way worse than I thought. The last three months has been the most challenging period of my life and it's probably still got months to go...
Turns out my pelvis is misaligned, my shoulders are unstable, my back still hurts... basically I've been too much of a sedentary nerd for too long and I need months of physiotherapy to get better.
There is good news. I'm very lucky to have an incredible support network and I'm taking all the steps I can think of to recover properly and sustainably. I'm being very diligent with my exercises and I have a physio I'm very happy with. I'm definitely making progress towards good health but it's not a linear path. So far, every time I've felt like I've turned a corner I have a flare up and feel worse again for a bit.
Anyway this is all to say, I don't know when I'll be able to come back regularly but I definitely still intend to. I still occasionally play Doom for short periods and I'm mostly using that time to practice Sunlust's Map29 >:)
I hope you're all well and you're looking after yourselves. There will almost certainly be new content on this channel again at some point (besides text posts lol). I just can't promise when.

Unfortunately, it's pretty bad and I need to put the channel on hiatus.
Hopefully only for a couple of weeks but we'll see. At the moment I can't sit down for much more than half an hour at a time (without risking making it worse).
The doctors have said I should probably do some actual rehab with a physio. The good news is there's no concern that it's anything that shouldn't heal well in the next few weeks. I still have full motion and it definitely feels better after some stretching, heat packs, etc. The main problem for the channel is that I just can't sit down in my chair for long enough to practice/record videos 😥 but the rest of my life is still going along OK. I obviously don't want to rush things so I'll take the time I need to heal properly but MAYBE in another week or two I'll start a new series that involves short, easy maps, just to have some content to put out in the meantime.

Map29 of Sunlust won't be out this week 😥I deliberated about whether to leave a post but I figure communication is always best. I haven't even been able to attempt a run of Map29 this week because I'm having my first ever experience with sciatica (for those who don't know, essentially significant back pain). Sit with good posture kids!! It finally got me...
The last few maps of this Sunlust playthrough truly do seem cursed (RSI, extended holidays, and now sciatica) but I'll beat them! This only makes me more determined. But for right now... I need to lie down lol

I've spent the week practicing map28 of Sunlust, but I only started actual attempts this (Sunday) afternoon and unfortunately... well yeah it won't be out this week 😥
Practice has been going well though, and my attempts were decent, so I'm calling it now. It will be out next Sunday.

I'll start attempting map28 during this week but... well it's map28 so I can't say Sunlust will definitely return next Sunday 👀 fingers crossed.

A new version of DoomRPG has been released! Reverse engineered to play well on PC without an emulator!!
Thanks and praise be to Doomworld users Erick194 and Anarkavre! It is a fantastic version of the game! I'm so glad to see it being kept alive like this.
If only I hadn't already done a playthrough of the original mobile .jar version I would absolutely play this version through.

Hi All! I know there's been a lack of videos lately. After finishing uni I started to realise just how burnt out I was with life in general, so I've been taking a much needed break. However, a new video is rendering/uploading as I type ;)

Keen to record more Quake but my video card keeps pooing itself (as you can see)... apparently its an ATI thing. I'm working on it but Quake vids might be a little delayed lol
