I hope you are enjoying the "Row Along", using bright colors lifts my spirits and always a bonus digging into my scraps and finding a good use for them. Once all of the borders are done this quilt will be a nice lap size, but as I encourage you to do, adjust the number of blocks to a size that works for you. Building a quilt Row by Row has been a refreshing change, however, I do have a few amazing designs in the making.
I appreciate hearing from you in the comments, a simple ❤ and please remember to subscribe, like and share.
Thank you and as always,

Coming soon - what I call a "ROW ALONG" similar to a Round Robin but has a huge amount of flexibility - no commitment to making all of the blocks as this can be custom to what YOU want and what YOUR scrap collection has in it. I am also including in a few weeks, bonus blocks for those who do not want to repeat the same one in a row. So keep an eye out for Episode 69 which launches this fun and colorful way to create a beautiful quilt to the size you want. (Hint this will be done before the holidays, so makes a great gift too). Hope to have you Quilt Along in my first ROW ALONG. Until then, Sew Safely, and Sew with De'bee.

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends and viewers -and to everyone out there in YouTube - thank you for your comments and feedback - I really appreciate your input. Keep an eye out for some new ideas and I have quite a few scrappy ideas in my notebook, so keep on watching. You may even see a deeper dive into my design process - all to be confirmed. I try to keep things fluid, okay I don't have a long term plan laid out, but that keeps the adventure real - turning right or left as it hits my cutting table. Having had a career driven by planning I am happy to just let that relax at times. If there are any ideas that you would like me to tackle, please send me a quick email, or post a comment. Any collaborations out there that you would like to see? So Thank YOU to everyone, I am thankful to have you joining me in this journey. May you find the joy around you everyday! I appreciate those who took the time to participate in my recent poll. I can guess what keeps you coming back to few my videos it is exhausting creating, filming and piecing one full quilt per week but it also brings me great joy adding to the donation quilts that are being created. Having said that, as long as my stash holds up (yes I remain on a no buying policy) I will continue to create what comes out of my sketchbook. Thank you for watching and your comments are very much appreciated. Sew safely and have a great day!

Seasons are in the midst of changing, what does this mean to you? My goals are to finish an ever growing pile of quilts, also known as sandwich, quilt and bind. What are your goals as we head into a new season I am interested to hear whether you have a large shift in what you do as each season changes? I have given a lot of thought about whether to continue with this whole YouTube adventure - honestly, it takes a lot of work, time and fabric, so why do I do it? Because it forces me to document and share the ideas that are floating around in my brain and in my sketchbook -- if viewers stop viewing and commenters stop commenting, then hum - who is my audience or am I just doing this for myself? Whether I keep on uploading videos or not, my desire to create and make will continue, so that my YouTube friends will not change If you have the time to participate in this poll, I would appreciate this feedback, should I change my makings - let me know. Should I have live videos - so many questions. Thank you for being part of my community and remember to do what brings you joy!

It has been raining here, which also means I spend more time playing with my fabric and creating more patterns. I was asked once why I always use such bright colors - well that is easy, they bring sunshine into my studio space. Nature has a beautiful color palette - experiment and give different colors a try. I have been saving a bucket of black and white fabric and working on a way to bring them altogether - this is one of the most challenging to work through because not all fabric reads as black and white. Have a great day everyone and do what brings sunshine into your world.

It is a perfect time to finish up the dresses for the Dress A Girl campaign. I have sent off my four to Donna @HandmadebyYingwithDonna

I will be donating a free prize to a Canadian maker who enters her draw. Deadline August 31, 2024 - see her video for the details.
Free patterns are available if you are not able to purchase a paid pattern. I used three patterns, easy to print at home and added pockets, one was from:
www.Oliverands.com/
and two from:
@ThoughtfulCreativity
Please note I have completed all using donated fabric from my own stash and from my friends - I will not receive any renumeration or donation tax receipts for participating in this project - I love to give back, pay it forward to make our world a better place.
