Xenia Prochorowa (1905-1991) was born in Moscow and studied piano at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1933 she was the winner of the International Franz Liszt Competition in Budapest. She concertized and offered master classes throughout the Americas and Europe between 1933 and 1963. In 1964 she was appointed piano lecturer at the College of Music, University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Ernő Balogh (1897-1989) was a US-based Hungarian-born pianist, composer, editor, and teacher.
