Local Takes is a documentary film series from producers Aaron Pate & Trey Morrow, spotlighting creatives in Spartanburg, SC.
In this short film series, southern artists reflect on their craft and what led them to pursue an artist’s life amidst inspiration and setbacks. Faced with challenges in education, employment, criticism, race and gender roles, these artists use their energy to create and communicate.
These are stories of creatives finding strength in unexpected places.
