Something not a lot of people know about me is that I love to collect old women's magazines, especially from 1920 - 1940.
So for today's post, I wanted to share some interesting pages from a random magazine I pulled off of my shelf.
It's the Women's Day November, 1944 issue. You'll see there are some Halloween tips included because like magazines today, I suspect this magazine arrived a month before the stated date.
Another interesting thing about this issue is that it's right in the middle of WWII and so a lot of the tips are for the women "holding down the fort".
There are tips for homemade gifts, clothes for kids made from discards and even a thanksgiving without turkey (there was shortage).
I hope you enjoy this glimpse into the past as much as I do.
