I'm looking into the idea of "fursona decay" or growing out of your character (specifically with the factor of parasocial relationships and using Maverick as an example)
Anyone else experience this with their fursonas? Or the opposite even, with keeping them for years and years?
Like full-disclosure, I DO NOT feel connected to Maverick as my fursona or character AT ALL, but I still use him to represent me and what I do online to some capacity
It isn't JUST the parasocial factor, mainly due to me growing and changing with time, but that still applies ^^

I'm currently scripting a video on the subject of "The Fursuit Buying Experience" and how some folks have had some REALLY BAD experiences or horror stories trying to get their fursuits from their maker when they've been in queue for years! (but also highlighting many of the GOOD experiences furries have had with comm'ing their makers)
Is there anything specifically you'd like me to add to this discussion in the video? So far I have some basic solutions like use Fursuit Reviews, do research, what fursuit makers can do to reassure clients, and so on, but could always use more guidance or pointers!

For those who are interested, since i've been REALLY into Deadlock recently, I decided to start recording some of my gameplays and sessions trying to get to the highest rank (Eternus) and i'm currently like 4-5 ranks away from it (Ascendant 1)! I also decided to start uploading these raw games with some light commentary to my VODs channel if anyone wants to listen to Beta yap about nothing while punch people as blue man!
It's a fun little side thing, so the support on those occasional uploads is appreciated, but it's more for fun!
