We are now almost 2000 nautical miles from Mexico, and this afternoon we will be going live right here at 4pm PST (pacific standard time in US) as we literally go from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemi. We will be doing a line crossing ceremony, where all 7 polywogs will be hazed to see if they are worthy of crossing over to become shellbacks. This is an age old tradition amongst mariners where they all enter the court of king neptune (me) to be trialed and judged by you all. Join us via starlink maritime provided by @fmcglobalsat where Dave will be answering any questions you may have, LIVE right here baby!

Hey guys! While you wait for Sunday’s episode, you could tune into this online event where we are participating in a beach clean up and going live with @inmocean and @WhiteSpotPirates to raise awareness about plastics in our oceans, and in particular, how this can affect delicate sea life such as turtles. It is tomorrow (Saturday) at midday EST, should be educational and interesting at the same time! Here is the link…

In case you don’t follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I have covid 19. Have been sick in bed and only able to start editing again yesterday. Feel a little light headed and possibly delusional still, so not entirely sure that what I am editing is going to result in anything worth watching 😆 Jamie is also positive along with my neighbor who is living with us while he fixes the bulkheads in his own lagoon 450. We are all feeling better slowly, in quarantine, so hope to be back into the swing of things shortly.
My posts on IG and FB have resulted in interesting and somewhat heated comments regarding vaccination, which have been unavailable to us in panama until recently, and of which I had reservations about, purely because I felt I hadn’t done sufficient research on them yet. What are your thoughts? Any real life experts out there?

I met this guy 2.5 years ago when he came on my boat, to learn how to sail, catch some fish, and surf our way around the Caribbean. We have since sailed over 10,000 miles on parlay together, and he has gone from being a guest, to my right hand man. You’d struggle to find a more hard working dude than this guy, and we are basically on our 3rd major yacht refit together, this one being the most complicated, and he STILL says he ain’t goin nowhere. Blessed to have this kind of support and friendship from this man. Happy birthday @vandenbulkjamie . Couldn’t think of a better first mate to circumnavigate this planet with, lets send it! 💪

2019 was one for the books! Parlay has finally been revived, through sheer hard work and determination in the Guatemalan heat, and we have already sailed over 2000 miles to be here in Panama for the new year. Our YouTube channel has grown to 34,600 subscribers, and we are set on making 2020 even bigger and better than last year, with us going through the Panama Canal mid feb, then crossing the great Pacific Ocean on our hurricane damaged catamaran. Much love to all of you for following and supporting our journey! We share as much as we can with the world in the hope of inspiring others to also follow their dreams. Maybe 2020 will be your year to come out of your comfort zone and do something you have always wanted to do in life. You won’t regret it, believe me!

After working on super yachts as a chief engineer, I spend my life savings on a Lagoon 450 catamaran, damaged by Hurricane Irma. With no experience with Fibreglass whatsoever, me and a friend work tirelessly to get her ready to sail through the Caribbean.
Subscribe to see more videos on how to fix a hurricane damaged boat, and to also follow their adventures throughout the Caribbean and on towards the Pacific!
