Hello everyone!
I'm sure you've been wondering what happened to Baltic World, since we haven't published much since the Basketball championships in Manila.
Clearly there has been a lot going on for the Baltic. Russia's invasion of Ukraine tragically continues, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have all experienced significant political change, while social and economic changes have been developing fast.
Charlene and I had put other work on hold for six months to try and get Baltic World running full time. We couldn't *quite* get BW self-sustaining in the period we could afford - as such Charlene has had to return to her normal job, while I have had to do my other paid work - work which keeps me on the go from place to place.
This makes recording and editing videos cripplingly difficult. Every video needs a tonne of research, scripting, filming and editing. However when you have to set up the tech on the road - it's extremely hard.
So - WE HAVE NOT GIVEN UP on Baltic World. We love the region, the people, the history. However, the realities of living have meant that the channel has had to take a back burner for the time being until things settle into a new normal.
There's still things we want to do still on the current schedule, including -
1. An important video on Baltic suicide prevention we're thoroughly researching.
2. Completion of the History of Lithuania series.
3. Completion of the mythology series.
However it may be some months before we get back into the swing of regular production. We have missed the channel and interacting with you - it's been a great adventure.
