As a past competitive duathlete for over 10 years, I thought it was time to get back out there after a 20 year hiatus. Problem is, I am now 61 and while I do cycle occasionally, I am anything but in shape for a run, bike, run regardless of the distance.
So for motivation on my comeback, I thought I would track and share my training schedule which is one based on my past knowledge of racing. While I won't be clipping off 6 minute miles on both ends with a 20 plus bike average in between, I do think that will patience I will be able to complete a short race without injury or death. Which at my age, is all I am striving for!
