Bad news…

As some of you may already have noticed, my AHOW: Fatherland movie has been blocked by YouTube due to copyright ID- specifically, that one “Avengers: Infinity War” track that I used in episode 9.

Now, this isn’t the first time I’ve had this issue- my old Battle: Europa finale also had copyright ID restrictions due to the Star Wars and Interstellar music I originally used. For that one, I simply used YouTube’s tools to mute the offending tracks, so that I could at least get the rest of the video back up. So why don’t I just… do the same thing for this one?

That’s the thing. I can’t.

For whatever reason, those music-cutting tools are NOT available for my Fatherland movie. Maybe it’s because it’s too long or something? This means no matter what, I’d have to reupload the movie entirely- the comments, view count, etc. would be restarted from scratch.

My other issues are as follows:
- I’d need to go back and use the horrible, slow, weak-battery computer that I had used for my mapping videos, as my new one (a Mac) does not have Windows Movie Maker (plus, WMM is discontinued).
- I no longer have most of the raw files that I used to make the Fatherland episodes, so I’d need to take the video file of episode 9, mute it, and then manually edit the music back in.
- And of course, my busy college schedule and laziness in general. (I’m in my third year of university now!)

Maybe I can get the Fatherland movie back up. Maybe not. But I did want you guys to know that I AM aware of the issue.

(Sprites are from azazel300 and BluerSonic, by the way.)

UPDATE: As of February 28th, 2024, the movie is back up! I didn’t do anything, so the copyright policy must’ve changed.

UPDATE 2: As of March 7th, 2024… it’s down again. Wonderful. :/

A totally random post out of the blue! This time around, I felt like posting some of the many scrapped ideas I had at one point considered during my time as a mapper (if you’ve followed me long enough, you may recognize a few of these!).

“Alternate History of the World: Crimson Skies”
Based on the titular video game series, depicting a world where the USA collapsed due to a huge spike in regionalism (exacerbated by the Great Depression). Air piracy skyrockets and the world hurdles closer to another world war, as tensions rise in North America, Europe, and Asia. Starts in the 1930s.

”Alternate History of the World: The Grasshopper Lies Heavy”
Based on the eponymous book from The Man in The High Castle’s fictional universe. Focuses on a three-sided Cold War, involving a stronger British Empire. Starts in 1945.

”Alternate History of the World: The Hot War”
Based on the series by Harry Turtledove. The United States deploys nukes against China as the Korean War turns south, plunging the world into WW3. Starts in 1950.
*This was the series I was originally going to make before deciding on Fatherland!

”Alternate Future of Asia: The Time Paradox”
China, South Korea, and Japan collaborate to develop an experimental time machine, but it malfunctions and sends them back through time.
*I originally planned to work on this after finishing AFOW: Throne of Blood. However… things happened, and I eventually abandoned these ideas in favor of making The Vengeful Phoenix.
**Check my older community posts! The fact that this premise seems eerily similar to Korean’s Time Drop series is a complete coincidence.

“Alternate Future of the World: The Secret Society”
My original idea for an AFOW series, which would have revolved around secret societies and conspiracies, culminating in a final battle against the Illuminati in the finale.

”Alternate Future of the World: Nibiru”
My second idea for an AFOW series, before I decided to make Throne of Blood instead. A massive planet-sized object hurdles towards Earth, but the world’s response is hampered by a sinister doomsday cult.

“Alternate Future of the World: Planet of the Monsters”
Starting in 1999, the Earth faces attacks from a variety of skyscraper-sized, city-destroying monsters, with the fearsome Godzilla (who emerges in 2030) soon proving to be the gravest threat of them all. Even as humanity receives aid from two alien races, the religious Exif and the technologically-advanced Bilusaludo, the monster attacks only intensify and eventually force the three races to abandon the Earth. Based on the prequel novels to the Godzilla anime trilogy, written by Renji Oki.
*At one time, I had planned for this to be my final series, after Throne of Blood and The Time Paradox!

“Alternate Future of Europe: Take Two”
I hadn’t thought too much of the story for this one outside of the prologue, but it would have involved a new take on the South Slavic Union (similarly to how TVP introduced a “new” Nova Polonia).

“Romance of the Three Kingdoms”
An idea I had to make a mapping adaptation of Luo Guanzhong’s eponymous historical novel. Basically, a slightly-fictionalized tale depicting the collapse of China’s Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms era (from 184-280 AD).

“The European Wild West”
The title for a possible miniseries exploring the chaos and anarchy that engulfs Europe following Marcin Nowak’s victory and subsequent suicide (as seen in TVP’s alternate ending). Instability and extremism reigns as fascists, communists, and ultranationalists fight for control.

And lastly…

“Alternate Future of the World: Dominion”
The title I had in mind for my Fatherland S2 concept, involving the GWO fracturing into competing factions. It would have started in the modern day (2022, 2023, or whatever the series would have been made), with a prologue taking place in 2003-07.

Ask me anything! I’ll answer what I can, though keep in mind that some of these ideas may have been less-developed than others.

Today, “the fourteenth of September”, is Polonia Day! To mark the occasion, I’ve shared some extra TVP content:
1. A Wikipedia “battle box” for the fall of Leningrad (and the subsequent massacre)
2. The world of TVP, circa 2022.
3. Same as #2, but zoomed in on Europe.
4. A map of the Siberian Federal Republic’s subdivisions, between the Great Polish Scourge and World War III.
5. An alternate post-Scourge division of Russia.

"ASHES OF THE POLISH SCOURGE: Europe after the fall of Nova Polonia"

"The immediate period after the death of Marcin Nowak, the ultranationalist leader of Nova Polonia, was marked by widespread unrest and chaos in Europe. While the Polonian military seized power in Warsaw and attempted to reassert authority, the unstable hegemony held by Nova Polonia nonetheless imploded as rebellions engulfed the empire, with interventions by Siberia and the United States proving the final nail in the coffin. Even Warsaw came under threat as a pro-democratic uprising broke out in northern Poland, forcing the Polonian junta to retreat south to Krakow.

Many new nations sprung up in the power vacuum left behind by Nova Polonia's collapse. Most alarmingly, extremist ideologies like fascism, ultranationalism, and communism began to reemerge in Central and Eastern Europe, with several governments vowing retaliation for the atrocities of Nova Polonia's rule. Furthermore, Polonian remnants have stubbornly held out to this day in Burgundy, Carpathia, Bornholm, Ingria, and Crimea, hampering reconstruction efforts.

It has now been eight years since Nowak's passing, yet the shadow of his empire looms large over Europe- a shattered, war-torn mess of a continent with extremists at every corner. However, it seems as if Europe's borders have finally beginning to settle into a more-or-less permanent state, with conflict gradually dying down and governments beginning to shift focus toward recovery.

After almost eighty years of near-constant conflict, could this broken continent finally see a moment's peace?"
- International Herald Courier, August 1990

Well, here's the aftermath map for TVP's alternate ending! Please don't hesitate to ask additional questions, as plenty of details remain to be told.

Bonus game: Can you spot the references? :)

“25 years after the fall of the USA, the Germanian World Order reigns as the sole ruler of Earth… or so it seems. Far from the unified, ever-expanding Aryan dominion promised by the Führer, the GWO now finds itself divided and facing a crossroads, with conservative loyalists and ambitious technocrats clashing over its future as Berlin can only watch helplessly. The world appears poised for yet another deadly conflict… but within the ripples, could hope for a better future still be alive?”

Essentially, this is a scenario where after a catastrophic event that nearly destroys the Germanian World Order (I won’t yet reveal what that event is), it decides to delegate some limited autonomy to eight Sectors around the world, in order to stabilize its administration. However, as time passes, Berlin loses control over these sectors, so that by 2022 (25 years after WW3), all of the Sectors are effectively independent states with their own armies, capitals, and flags, only nominally answering to the Führer. And when the Führer mysteriously falls into a coma… the GWO begins to split into two factions, with Sector G leading a loyalist movement to defend the status quo and Sector C leading a movement to overthrow and reorganize the GWO to focus on technological advancement and space colonization.

Some information regarding the Sectors in this timeline’s 2022:
Sector A, based in Cairo, adheres to Islamic fascism as its main ideology.
Sector B, based in New Delhi, adheres to Esoteric Nazism (basically… this timeline’s version of the Burgundian System).
Sector C, based in Beijing, adheres to technocratic Nazism (and is the most powerful of the Sectors).
Sector D, based in Melbourne, adheres to reformist fascism (notice how it’s the only Sector that dropped the swastika from its flag?).
Sector E, based in McMurdo, adheres to eco-fascism (it’s also considered a “neutral” Sector in the context of the brewing power struggle).
Sector F, based in Rio de Janeiro, adheres to collectivist Nazism… and Spartanism.
Sector G, based in New York City, adheres to pragmatic fascism (I’d imagine that this specific Sector would be led by the Führer’s son).
Sector H, based in Cape Town, adheres to despotic Nazism (it’s also the most unstable of the Sectors).

(Even if some of these ideologies sound similar, the point is that each Sector has developed its own variant of Nazism/fascism.)

There are a few details I won’t reveal just yet, since this is actually an idea I could see becoming a series (albeit… 99.9% unlikely to occur). Any other (non-spoiler) tidbits you’d like me to share regarding this scenario? Please ask away in the comments!

And… April Fools. XD

OKAY, I think it’s time I finally address the invasion of Ukraine on this channel. I really hope the war comes to an end sooner or later, but it looks like that won’t happen unless something drastic occurs, so I’m really just rooting for Ukraine to hold out as long as possible… that despot Putin must NOT be allowed to get away with this blatant attempt to rip away Ukraine’s freedom!

P.S. Yes, this is, admittedly, a political statement. Usually I’d try to avoid making those, but this invasion has really pissed me off, and I can’t stay silent about it.
