The conversion process from CMC to Mover 2.0 is REALLY clean. Concepts Iām used too with the CMC have an equivalent in mover & if they donāt itās easy to extend. I know itās experimental but Iāve already converted my character to a mover pawn, integrated GAS & made it compatible with Motion Matching. IM SOLD! All of my AI stuff is completely broken but Iāll be able to fix that tonight thanks to the examples in the engine. I know a lot of people complain about the documentation but lately Epic has been really good about providing us tools with examples on how to go about using them. That plus the source code is all I need. They might not show you the best practice but itās enough to go on.
The only downside of Mover 2.0 to me right now is the slight network overhead when compared to the CMC. Packet sizes seem to increase 3x the size of the CMC. Iām sure once itās had some more time in the cooker there will be a lot less data stripped. Or they may leave it be and rely on each dev team to strip out what they donāt need.
Guys please for the love of god stop promoting and buying this damn plugin. In order to replicate the motion matching trajectory you only need to replicate the players acceleration. Lyra has a pretty clear example on how to set this up for free. Stop wasting your money.

Iāve been testing my game in multiplayer on my devices and as it stands now the game is damn near unplayable. There is so much latency and desync itās blowing my mind. The crazy thing is I test in the editor with bad network emulation and the game performs fine. Not sure what the root of the problem is but the has to be fixed before I even think about making the playtest public.
Unfortunately my game is not polished enough to start testing it on Xbox. They pretty much want the game to be finished before you can even start testing on their hardware. Well at least I know.
